Michelle
As picturesque as Kindred Spirits is, it is loving and accepting. When animals come to Ulla, they are often unwell and dying. Yet when they find acceptance and love for them as they are they often get better and live out happy lives in the company of others. There is a message there for all of us with older or sick animals.

Seriously? I'd have loved to tell her that. She is a gentle soldier, for sure. I loved the place, and her animals. She gives off such a strong, but loving vibe. You are lucky to have known and learned from her.

I can't believe were there! Ulla was my childhood riding teacher, when I was a kid in Ohio. I rode a little bay Morab mare named "Katie." I remembered her so fondly. I only re-located her last year, and we spoke on the phone, which was wonderful. How neat that you met her, and visited her sanctuary.

The memorial is beautiful. I love the row of dog beds along the wall....What a fantastic place to visit! We need more people like this in the world. Thanks for posting about them.
