Mindful Monday: So Many Days, I Feel Like Lisa

I guess it’s worth pointing out that life and spiritual seeking is a journey. You’re not there.

  1. Its often said that the rewards and the learning’s are IN the journey itself.

We humans love to focus on the ‘future’ & ‘goals’- and miss what animals instinctively seem to know..its only the present that we can fully experience!

Let’s remember to be joyously IN THE MOMENT!
All else flows from there as our higher Consciousness awakens..

  2. In a completely random way, this video brings to mind my thoughts about saddle fitting.

Why do I always feel like I’ve never arrived? Do saddles only fit in the present moment, and then the horse’s back changes and I have to contemplate a future saddle, with a future a budget :)

Can I stay joyously in the moment with each saddle that I have to return? Oy Vay!

The video completely made my day! Great reminder.

I think millions of riders share your pain. I wonder if saddle fit is the holy grail of horsemanship, and not, as I’ve written before, backing up.
Joyously in the moment? I wonder–in the moment…YES! We have no choice. That’s the good thing about reality.
I wish you luck in your search for the right saddle.

  3. This totally made my I’m-a-freakin-Buddhist day.

I IM’d Daisy this morning, and asked “How are we?” She IM’d back: “Grumpy”
My Mindful Monday response: “Go kick somebody who didn’t do anything, you’ll feel a lot better.”

  4. Oh man…I hope she kicked a stuffed animal or something.
I was on livejournal for a long time before starting a “real”‘ blog. I love livejournal. YOu can have all sorts of icons to fir your daily mood. My favorite, which I used for rants, was a little cartoon monk sitting with his fists and face all screwed up, just emitting all kinds of pent up effort and frustration, with the caption, “Om, DAMMIT!”
    I miss that icon.
